Say goodbye to Wordpress and try alternative Blog/CMS solutions
Reading today the post from Jeremy Harris page called "Why I Hate WordPress" ( http://someguyjeremy.com ) I remembered my bad experience with Wordpress and problems that I had to correct,to locate things and to find in Wordpress code.
I still cannot understand why many of old CMS solutions like WordPress, Joomla, Mambo and other CMS packs don't migrate to Frameworks but probably not everyone likes MVC structure and this can be one big reason. So, instread of losing lot of time on WordPress, you should try alternatives, try by your own to write a Blog/CMS in some Framework ( there are many Frameworks available: CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Zend, Symfony, FuelPHP, Kohana, etc ) or use an already existing CMS like Croogo, Fuel, Open-Blog, Fizzy, Gleez, etc.
Don't Get Stuck in Wordpress! You'll find out quickly that is much easy to update your Blog, to create new features, plugins, functionalities.
On a quick search, github.com is displaying dozens of repositories with Open Source Blogs and CMSs. The next list has some of these projects, ordered by Framework type. I may asking yourself why I do such lists but the answer is simple, I just want to remember these things faster looking on the my blog posts, kind of bookmarking ;)
